C.H.I.L.D. Protocol™ Assessment Training Program
The C.H.I.L.D. Protocol™ is an innovative, evidence-based training program designed to equip parents and professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to understand, assess, and support children’s development through a comprehensive and individualized lens.

Module 0: Laying the Groundwork: Embracing Every Child’s Unique Journey
Introduces the structure, policies, and purpose of the C.H.I.L.D. Protocol™ Training Program, along with its resources and required readings. It prepares participants for effective engagement with the child development, child assessment, early identification concepts, and learning pathway.

Module 1: Foundations and the Art of Using the Scales
Participants are introduced to the purpose, structure, and theoretical grounding of the developmental scales, with a strong emphasis on translating scientific theory into practical application. The module presents a structured, repeatable assessment process that supports consistency, accuracy, and reflective practice.
Drawing inspiration from Montessori principles, participants learn to observe children within natural contexts using systematic documentation techniques that minimize observer bias. Practice-based activities and guided reflection reinforce skill development and promote thoughtful application in real-world settings.

Module 2. Making Sense of a Child’s Growth and Progress
Module 2 provides a comprehensive examination of the structure, logic, and application of the developmental assessment scales.
This module equips participants with the conceptual and practical tools necessary to observe, document, and support holistic child development within a structured, evidence-based display.

Module 3. Understanding Growth, One Step at a Time
This module deepens participants’ understanding of child development by examining the structure, interpretation, and practical application of the C.H.I.L.D. Protocol™ comprehensive assessment scales.
Participants learn to organize and interpret developmental information across four essential assessment components—child profile, health history, developmental history, and current developmental status—ensuring that observations are contextualized, meaningful, and actionable. Emphasis is placed on translating observations into informed developmental support rather than isolated evaluation.

Module 4. Awareness of Growth with Neuropsychological Input
Module 4 highlights the role of developmental neuropsychology in understanding and supporting children’s growth within the C.H.I.L.D. Protocol™ holistic, individualized, and lifelong scaffold. This module guides educators, clinicians, and families through the interconnected processes of early brain development, emphasizing how timely identification and informed support can positively influence developmental outcomes.
Participants gain a clearer understanding of how developmental milestones emerge, how variations may present, and how early patterns can inform supportive decision-making without labeling or pathologizing children.

Module 5: Supporting a Child’s Developmental Journey with Care
Module 5 introduces participants to the essentials of the C.H.I.L.D. Protocol™ Guide & Handbook Series, volumes 2-9, designed to capture the unique developmental characteristics of children across ages birth to 7 years. As explained in former modules, each scale is organized into five essential sections, ensuring that every observation is developmentally appropriate, meaningful, and actionable.
Participants learn to apply a structured scoring system and utilize visual guides to identify developmental milestones, track progress, and recognize early warning signs.
